The Traverse City Philharmonic enriches our community with various educational and outreach programs. Your support helps sustain these vital initiatives. Explore our offerings below and consider donating, volunteering, or attending our events to help us continue bringing music to life for everyone.

Since 1951, the Traverse City Philharmonic has provided symphonic programming of exceptional quality to the Grand Traverse region. Over the past 15 years, the TC Phil has surged forward, growing from a community orchestra to a powerhouse regional symphony that audiences flock to hear and that attracts world-class musicians. Today, we are an ensemble that rivals those in major metropolitan areas. Your support helped us get here.

The Traverse City Philharmonic is sustained through the generosity of loyal patrons, donors, and volunteers whose dedication to the arts and culture of the Grand Traverse region makes what we do on stage too good to miss. Your philanthropic engagement with the Traverse City Philharmonic helps to provide a strong foundation for the present and the future.

Every note tells a story.

From the 4-year-old Suzuki student drawing her bow across the violin strings for the first time, to the retired teacher continuing the joy of making music in a Civic ensemble, or the thrill of being in the audience when a piano concerto is performed to an enthusiastic standing ovation—each and every experience we offer is important in the “story” of someone in our community.

We couldn’t do it without your support!

Community support from our patrons and friends is foundational to enabling the Traverse City Philharmonic to continue to impact children and adults through the gift of music. We need your help!

Ways you can support the TC Phil:

  • Make a tax-deductible gift by sending a check or giving online. Additionally, you can choose to be a sustaining donor and have a recurring monthly gift automatically deducted!
  • Consider a tax-free end of year IRA distribution in support of the work of the TSO, our musicians, and educators.
  • Ensure a strong future for the TC Phil by creating an estate gift, trust, or other planned giving vehicle. This can have significant tax advantages, and leave a positive impact on the cultural excellence of our community for generations. Contact Becky Childs to discuss at 231-947-7120.
