TUBACHRISTMAS

The Traverse City Philharmonic invites tuba and euphonium players of all ages to perform at Merry TubaChristmas Traverse City in December in Kirkbride Hall at the Traverse City Grand Traverse Commons. TubaChristmas is a creation of Harvey Phillips, one of America’s great tuba players. This annual musical event is celebrated all over the world by tuba and euphonium enthusiasts.

As always, our Civic Orchestra and Chamber Ensemble concerts, Suzuki recitals, and Encore Symphonic Winds concerts are free and open to the public.
This summer, the TC Phil is excited to continue to deepen community outreach and provide more opportunities for engagement with a wider variety of audiences, as part of our mission “to be a professional orchestra serving northern Michigan, creating educational opportunities and community enrichment through excellence in symphonic and other musical experiences”. “MASTERWORKS IN MINIATURE” – FAMILY EVENTS SERIES
In Collaboration with Traverse Area District Library
Held on weekends throughout the region, this new series will integrate storytelling with music and movement, aimed at children 5-12 and their families. Bring your own blanket and/or chairs.

Join us Wednesdays from 9:30 – 10:30, for an hour of live music and conversation, featuring TC Phil Musicians, hosted by Amanda Sewell and Interlochen Public Radio.

Performed in unexpected spaces throughout the Grand Traverse Region, Pop Up Concerts are fun, free, and casual events designed to support our community and introduce TC Phil musicians to new audiences.
