Encore Symphonic Winds

A concert band for the region’s accomplished adult musicians.

A Program of the Traverse City Philharmonic

Founded in 1989, Encore Symphonic Winds brings together about 50 talented amateur musicians from across the seven-county Grand Traverse region. Encore performs four seasonal concerts a year, returning its members’ talents to the community through excellent, entertaining music.

Registration is by concert session ($50 each). Join the band for any or all of the four concerts below.

Dr. Timothy TopolewskiDr. Timothy TopolewskiConductor, Encore Symphonic WindsDr. Timothy Topolewski is Distinguished Teaching Professor of Music Emeritus at the Crane School of Music in Potsdam, New York, where he conducted the wind ensemble and opera orchestra. A former clarinet soloist with the United States Army Band, “Pershing’s Own,” he has guest-conducted bands and orchestras across the country and around the world.Read bio →
